Giving Thanks

Life is amazing. I am thankful for...

1. God's Grace/Love/Jesus Christ... this goes without saying, but I will say it anyway! God is Love. Love is made out of and shown in a million things: Joy, Faith, Trust, Loyalty, Peace, Patience, Humility, Kindness; the list goes on and on. Without Him we have no love, and thus no life.

2. My family... my parents have raised me, my siblings embraced me, and every single one of them has shown me Love and taught me patience. And they continue to.

3. My home... such a small word and such a large meaning. I am thankful for the blessing of living in the United States of America, out here in the countryside of beautiful upstate New York, on a dairy farm. I love the animals, the land, and the atmosphere. But home isn't a location. It is an anchor, marked by those who dwell there and the memories made within. Home is the building block of family and life, and thus, again, Love.

4. My health... I am healthy and alive! Mentally- well, I'm crazy, but that isn't what we're talking about here- Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually.

5. My church... Wow, this is a big one. It's just a part of my life that subtly gets in there and without my knowing, really, has completely shaped who I am and who I am becoming. I don't even realize the completely drastic ways it shapes my life. The way I have learned to walk with God, what I have learned of His character, and just the fellowship and secure friendships I have within our body. Irreplaceable.

6. My friendships... some have come and gone in life, some are casual and distant, some are close and cozy, and some are such a part of me that I don't remember what my life was like before I met them. I am thankful for having people I can depend on, laugh with, seek counsel from, and work alongside.

7. His Promises... Time and again, I have seen God's plan unfold. It continues to and always will. Whatever my near/distant Future holds, I know above all that He holds me. I have His words to learn and lean on, Prayer to connect me with His Peace, and many things to learn and grow in. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." "He who began a good work in you will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Holding onto the Promises~

Also thankful for the "little" things that make my days great and the moments that warm the heart. K-Love Radio, writing, books, projects, chores, playing guitar, cozy sweaters, the wonders of the internet, Emma's weird faces, and... did you really think I could get through a post without bringing up Doctor Who?

Happy Thanksgiving, My Friends. ;)
